Getting started on Sharksme

Sharksme is a global business-needs network where members post what they are looking for or what they offer, and find each other. This short guide shows how to use it, step by step.

1. Join free

Create your account with your name, email and mobile number, then open the link we send to your email. That is all.

2. Look around

Every post on the home page says one of two things:

• Looking for: the member needs something or someone,
• Offering: the member has something to offer.

Each post also stands in a category, such as Investors, Projects, Jobs, Experts, Products, Services, Suppliers or Partners. Use the two boxes, the category, the country and the search words to find what interests you.

3. Free or Premium

• Free: you read every post and can add one post, which is public for 3 days and has no pictures. You do not see contact details, and members cannot contact you.
• Premium: you add unlimited posts with pictures, your posts stay public, you see contact details, you chat with members and they can contact you.

4. Add your post

Press Add Post at the top of the page. Choose Looking for or Offering, pick a category, and write a clear title and a description. Premium members can add up to three pictures. Do not write contact details in the title or the description: your number goes in the Mobile number box.

5. Talk to other members

As a Premium member, open the post of another Premium member, write your message and press Send message. You get an email when a new message is waiting for you, and you can see when your message was read.

6. Get more views with a boost

Premium members can use points to make a post more visible:

• Bump to the top: your post goes back to the top of the list.
• Featured: your post stays at the top of the list with a Featured label.
• Home spotlight: your post is shown in the Spotlight row at the top of the home page.

Premium members receive some free points every month and can buy more.
