Frequently asked questions

What is Sharksme?

Sharksme is a global business-needs network. Members post what they are looking for or what they offer, and connect directly with people and businesses that match their needs.

What does "Looking for" mean?

A Looking for post says what you need: an investor, a job, a supplier, a partner, an expert, a product, a service, a business to buy and more.

What does "Offering" mean?

An Offering post says what you have to offer: an investment, a job, a product, a service, your expertise, a franchise, a business for sale and more.

Who can use Sharksme?

Anyone aged 18 or older, from any country: individuals, professionals and companies.

Can individuals post?

Yes. An individual can post, for example to look for a job, offer a service or find a partner.

Can companies post?

Yes. A company can post what it needs or what it offers: staff, suppliers, products, services, investment and more. One account per company.

How do I add a post?

Log in and choose Add Post. Select Looking for or Offering, pick a category and describe what you need or what you offer. A free member can add one post, which is public for 5 days. Premium members add unlimited posts. Your post is published under your own responsibility.

Can I post a job?

Yes. Choose Offering and the Jobs category if you have a position to fill. Choose Looking for and Jobs if you are looking for work.

Can I offer a service?

Yes. Choose Offering and the Services category, or Experts for professional expertise, and describe what you do.

Can I look for a supplier?

Yes. Choose Looking for and the Suppliers category, and say what you need, how much and where.

Can I post a business for sale?

Yes. Choose Offering and the Businesses for Sale category. If you want to buy a business, choose Looking for in the same category.

How do I contact another member?

Open the post. A Premium member sees the contact details of the owner (name, email and mobile number) when the owner is Premium too, and can send a message on the site to any member whose post is visible. A free member reads every post but does not see contact details; they are told when a member writes to them, and can read and reply after getting Premium.

What can a free member do?

A free member reads every post and can add one post, which is public for 5 days and has no pictures. While it is public, Premium members can send messages about it: the free member is told that a member is interested, and can read and reply after getting Premium. A free member does not see contact details. With Premium your posts stay public, with pictures, you see contact details, you can contact any member, and you read and reply to every message.

Can I write my phone number or email in my post?

No. Contact details (phone, email, links, social media) are not allowed in the title or the description, and a post that has them cannot be saved. Put your number in the Mobile number box of the post.

How long does it take for a post to go live?

Your post appears on the site as soon as you submit it.

Are the posts verified?

No. Posts are published by members and we do not check or verify them. Always do your own checks and take professional advice before any financial decision. We do not guarantee any result.

What are the posts marked "Example"?

They are samples written by Sharksme to show how a post looks in each category. They are not real offers or requests and nobody can be contacted through them. They are removed as members add their own posts.

Is Sharksme responsible for transactions?

No. Sharksme only connects members. We are not a party to any deal, agreement or payment between members, and no money between members passes through the site. Check everything yourself and take professional advice before you commit.

Is Sharksme responsible for what members post?

No. Each member alone is responsible for what they publish, including the contact details and every other information they fill in. Sharksme does not check posts, members or their information and is not responsible for them in any way. If a post looks wrong, use "Report this post" on its page.

Does my Premium plan renew automatically?

No. Your plan ends at the end of the paid period. You are not charged again unless you buy a new plan.

Can I get a refund?

No. All payments are final. If you were charged twice, or charged and your plan was not activated, write to info@sharksme.com within 14 days and we will fix it.

Why do I need to confirm my email?

To make sure the email address is yours. We send you a link when you sign up. Open it within 48 hours to activate your account.

Can I have more than one account?

No. One account per person or company. Each email address can be used for one account only, and a mobile number gets one free post, whatever the account.

How do I report a suspicious post?

Write to info@sharksme.com and include the link to the post.

How do I delete my account?

Write to info@sharksme.com from the email address of your account. We delete your account and your data, except records the law requires us to keep.
